Your journey can end at the heart of the BC interior, Kamloops, or keep reaching north to the mountain resort of Sun Peaks.

Pemberton is a year-round outdoor recreation destination. Sports enthusiasts head to the town from late spring to early fall to indulge in everything from hiking, biking, camping, golfing and horseback riding to rafting, jet boating, swimming and fishing. Lunch on Fescues patio at Big Sky Golf Club is the perfect setting to enjoy the majestic beauty of Mt. Currie. Or take in the Farmer’s Market and connect with locally grown food and the people who nurture the land it’s grown on.

Lillooet

Lillooet is home to adventures, idyllic escapes and thousands of years of rich history. With its semi-desert climate, Lillooet has hot summers and mild autumns creating ideal conditions for outdoor recreation. From hiking and fishing to golfing and heli tours, the activities are plentiful here.

Journey into Gold Rush stories, pioneering ambitions and First Nations culture. Historic Hat Creek Ranch is located on one of the few sections of the original Cariboo Wagon Roads still accessible to the public. The ranch includes almost 130 hectares (320 acres) of fields and hills in the sunny southern Interior of BC. The buildings stand as they did in 1901. Interpretive exhibits, activities, and guides are ready to bring these stories to life.

Renowned for its hospitality, Cache Creek is a popular stopover point for travellers. Choose from a variety of restaurants to recharge on your journey or stay and explore the area’s parks and trails.

This ghost town is home to some of the area’s most scenic parks. At Juniper Beach Provincial Park, go swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing, or enjoy watching a variety of birds attracted to this oasis in the desert landscape.

Be welcomed by mountains with multi-hued lava cliffs, blue lakes and sage filled desert. Visit the "Centre of the Universe," a site of pilgrimage for Tibetan monks, or explore Castle Rock Hoodoos Provincial Park's spectacular hoodoo formations. With numerous parks and trails, there’s no shortage of outdoor fun here.

The word Kamloops is the English translation of the Shuswap word Tk’emlúps, which means “where the rivers meet”, and has been the home of the Tk’emlupsemc, the “people of the confluence”, for centuries. Enjoy mountain biking, golfing and hiking in the summer and fresh powder in the winter. The diverse art scene in Kamloops is sure to entertain with galleries, musuems, live theatre, and outdoor festivals.

Sun Peaks is a vibrant mountain resort north of Kamloops. In the winter, experience skiing at Canada’s second largest ski area, sledding, snowshoeing, and more.
